A Vintage Fusion Love Affair Styled Wedding Shoot By Touch Of Jewel Events & Designs

The Vintage Fusion Love Affair shoot was a collaborative effort of amazing minds, it’s an amazing blend of two cultures . we love so much

The shoot was planned by Touch of Jewel Events and Design, a collaborative effect with, Nicole Smedley Event Designs, photographer, Akintayotimi,  a well-known International photographer who travels around the world to document events and weddings  and  the talented Films by Roy.

They came up with the idea of  the vintage shoot, as that was lacking in the ethnic and multicultural community.

The team decided to take 1930’s back to 2017 with a modern twist to the vintage look. We had the idea to title it “A Vintage Fusion Love Affair”in other to showcase and celebrate two different cultures coming together as one, hence the ‘fusion’ love affair.

The Venue

A  perfect venue for the shoot, one that wasn’t too rustic but had a few modern components to it and Stone Crest venue  offered their space for this shoot.

The colors were burgundy, peach and gold with a touch of ivory and rose gold and although the overall shoot was a vintage shoot idea.

The couple were styled in a vintage fabric African Print called “alaari aso oke”, an african fabric from the 1930’s to celebrate the groom’s culture; sourced by Textile Trader, along with the bride’s jewelry, accessories and head tie. The brides fabric was sourced by 5 yards fabricand custom designed by Lyza Faye.

When it came to styling the bride’s hair & makeup, the  Marilyn Monroe look was achieved, Shelsea Luxe for makeup and Jaclyn Lovdiv for hair .

Components of the shoot that truly depicted the vintage shoot design was the 1936 Olds mobile bridal car by Blue Diamond Limousines of TX, the styling of the groom in a vintage gray custom suit by Eaden Myles and the bride’s low cut, A-line lace designed, simple, yet elegant gown by De France Couture.

The Cake and Dessert

The wedding cake by Crystals and Cream was designed with pearls and laces and the dessert table by Sugarlicious Co, followed suite and was setup with props that represents a vintage feel.

The floral created an impeccable floral design that is out the norm. The head table was dressed with a vintage lace runner, with some vintage china and gold-plated silverware and glassware provided by May I Serve you rental company.

The chef Kevin from culinary affairs by Chef Kevin cook a mix of cuisines representing both cultures and it tasted just as good as it looked.

The stationery was a lace laser cut design card with a calligraphy hand written font and we had a full suite of menu, escort & RSVP cards all designed by chic le vogue stationery designs.

The cinematographer told a love story in a short highlight video that was edited to look like a movie from the 1930s.

Everyone  involved in this shoot delivered 100% .

We are so excited to share.
